Coming off the win at the storied 24 Hours of Le Mans race, Corvette Racing delivers an insider-look at a lap around the famous track.
Oliver Gavin, driver of the No. 74 Corvette C6.R, gives viewers an inside look at what it takes to get around the winding 8.3-mile course. We’re treated to driver seat and street level views along with Gavin’s narration as he takes the turns, even calling out the gear he’s in as he experiences each segment of the track. Take a look and enjoy a unique tour of Le Mans from a driver who’s been there nearly a dozen times.

The association between Corvettes and astronauts is showcased in a parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of Alan B. Shepard's historic sub-orbital flight in Cocoa Beach, Fla., surviving astronauts rode Corvettes representing all six design generations built since the famed sports car's 1953 debut.

GM made an announcement this morning regarding some performance upgrades for the 2012 Chevrolet Corvette, most notably the tires that are available for the upcoming model year ZR1 and Z06 packages.

Here’s the video that coincides with that announcement – it highlights the performance enhancement that drivers can expect to experience with the vehicle, including narration from personalities who know the car best.
 

In episode 4 of Corvette Racing’s Track to Street series, we follow the team to Long Beach, where the smallest mistake could take a team out of contention completely. The two-hour race is considered a sprint in comparison to the twelve-hour Sebring relay or the holy grail of all races, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which is next up on the schedule.
